How do I get my facial hair to follow the regular pattern?

You know there’s a normal pattern that men’s stubble follow along their face; well my facial hair kind of tapers off along the cheeks so that it doesn’t completely fill the pattern and instead looks like there are a few stray hairs. How can I get the regular shape facial hair takes along the cheeks to the jawline?
